Dr. Hoffman’s academic writing and research agenda has developed into one that engages an international lens. Her research interests include equity and inclusion in higher education, assessment in higher education, and leveraging technology to advance student learning and meet student needs. As an immigrant to the United States, (she was born in Southport, England, and immigrated to the United States at the age of five), Hoffman values looking beyond our own national narratives and employing a global lens toward teaching and scholarship. She is a guest editor of a special edition of the Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education (JARHE) which will focus on inclusion and diversity and a series of four books around the theme of international perspectives on diversity and inclusion in higher education with Emerald Publishing published 2018-2020.
